The Podolskiy Method: Parenting an athlete
There is no roadmap for parenting. No "one size fits all". Together we will learn what works and what does not work. Join and listen to doctors, coaches, athletes, parents, and many other guests of all walks of life. Lets take "parenting an athlete" to the next level and give them the right tools for the job.
The Podolskiy Method: Parenting an athlete
Featured Episode: Sophia Wehrs
Are you helping your athlete or hurting them? In a special series, I am partnering up with one of the most decorated Canadian Coaches, Shawnee Harle, to bring you the voices of the athletes and their parens to get the 360 degree perspective.
Our first guest is Sophia Wehrs. She is 13 years old and in the 7th Grade at The Calverton School in Huntingtown, MD. Sophia is active in school and is currently the middle school treasurer. In addition she has played soccer, tennis, and participated in cheer this year at school. Out of school, Sophia is active in 4-H, Pony Club, and her vaulting team (think gymnastics on horseback). She plays the trumpet, piano and ukulele. Of course, her biggest passion is ice hockey. Sophia plays for the 14U Washington Pride Minors team in Rockville, MD. She is also playing Spring hockey with HockeyCore based in Rockville this year.
