The Podolskiy Method: Parenting an athlete
Featured Episode: Ross and Brigitte Wehrs
As we enter episode 5 of the second season we invite you to join us once again on a journey to explore parental transformation and how this family changed and found a better way. We heard from the kids, let's hear it from the parents.
Ross and Brigitte Wehrs live in Newburg, Md. Ross is originally from just outside Kansas City, MO, and Brigitte was born in The Netherlands, but both ended up in Southern Maryland. They have 2 girls who are very active in school, community service, 4-H, Pony Club, equestrian sports, and the youngest plays Ice Hockey. Both girls have found the sport that they love - its pretty neat when you have a kid who wants to go to practice, wants to play, wants to work hard to make it to the next level. They found Shawnee’s program on Mental Toughness when looking into ways to improve their younger daughter, Sophia’s, ice hockey game. Navigating sports is hard enough - then you add emotion, teenage feelings, and friends - they wanted an expert to help with the mental side of the game.
