On this episode I am sitting down with Evan Lindsay to talk about becoming an athlete, parenting, and post pro athlete career.  We discuss the best coaches and what made them so great, his best season and why, adapting, and more.

Born and raised in Canada. Evan was always an athlete first growing up.

In 1996 Evan was scouted by several MLB teams and attended multiple draft combines. Evan opted to play hockey though. In 1997 Evan was selected in the NHL draft by Calgary Flames and the Montreal Canadiens 1999. Evan went onto to play professional for 7-years in North America and Europe. In 2001 Evan dressed for 1-game in the NHL.

After his hockey career, he was a full-time firefighter for 5-years. During this time He opened and grew a fitness business. It consistently produced revenues 55k+/mo, ~300 clients with a solid team of full and part-time employees.

After moving to Cayman island for personal reasons, the gym ran with Evan and his family in Cayman for 1-year. With a solid foundation, team and systems it continued to grow by 19%+ that year. In 2015, Evan successfully exited and sold the business.

Since then he has amassed more than 8000-hours coaching and consulting in the fitness business niche. Evan has been able to work with many successful companies, including Inc. 5000 businesses.

Evan created internationally accredited courses, run teams of business coaches & created a proprietary system that analyzes fit biz operations and finances to produce the right actions and results.

In addition, this year Evan took over ownership of a gym in North Carolina and recently partnered on another in South Carolina.
